About The Organ
The liver produces a liquid substance called bile, which is then transported to the gall bladder. When we eat a meal, bile is released into the small intestine to begin fat digestion. Bile emulsifies dietary fat in the small intestine so the fat-digesting enzymes can process it. It also helps to make fat water-soluble so it can be absorbed into the body through the lymphatic system.
