About The Hormone

There are two ovaries; each positioned to the sides of the uterus in the lower abdomen. They are shaped very much like almonds but are about twice as large. The ovaries are the most important of all the endocrine glands because of their ability to contain the eggs (ova) necessary to reproduce our species.

This hormone is also responsible for producing the hormones (estrogen, progesterone, and some testosterone) necessary for the development of the female characteristics and the final maturation of the ova and the maintenance of healthy pregnancies.

Psychological Characteristics

Progesterone enables a feeling of self-assuredness and contentment with one’s self.

The Insecure One can demonstrate these qualities, but underneath is continuously evaluating themselves. They feel insecure about their appearance and how people perceive them, which leads to overcompensating.

These individuals measure their self-worth by how good they look or how much they have accomplished in their life, but sometimes it’s never enough. Under excess stress, they can succumb to the internal criticism they put on themselves. During these times, any external opinions or criticisms that others have really hurt.
